Lunar New Year holiday schedule 2023 with civil servants

Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam has in  writing agreed to the plan of the Lunar New Year holiday in 2023 lasting 7 days .

Accordingly, the 2023 Lunar New Year holiday schedule for civil servants and public employees starts from Friday, January 20, 2023 to the end of Thursday, January 26, 2023 (ie, December 29 of the year of the Tiger until the end of the lunar calendar). January 5 of the year of the Rabbit).

The Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs is authorized to announce the Lunar New Year and National Day holidays in 2023.

The Government also suggested that the agencies and units implementing the above holiday schedule must arrange reasonable working departments to handle continuous work, ensuring good service to the organization and people.

 

Lunar New Year holiday schedule for non-state workers

The above-mentioned 2023 Lunar New Year holiday schedule applies to cadres, civil servants, public employees and employees of administrative agencies, non-businesses, political organizations and socio-political organizations.

For non-state employees, the employer decides to choose a plan to take the Lunar New Year holiday in 2023 in accordance with the reality of the unit.

The unit’s Lunar New Year holiday plan should ensure 5 days, including 1 day of the old year and 4 days of the new year; or 2 days old year 3 days new year.

If the Lunar New Year holiday coincides with a weekly rest day, the employee is entitled to a compensatory leave according to regulations.
