Information from the Vietnam Social Security said that from July 1, the regional minimum wage was adjusted to increase according to Decree No. 38/2022/ND-CP of the Government. Therefore, the maximum level of unemployment benefit also increases, up to a maximum of 23.4 million VND/month.
Employees who are paying unemployment insurance premiums are entitled to unemployment benefits when they fully meet the conditions specified in Article 49 of the Employment Law 2013, with the monthly unemployment allowance paid in accordance with the provisions of Article 49 of this Law. Article 50 of the Employment Law 2013.
Specifically, the monthly unemployment benefit allowance is equal to 60% of the average monthly salary on which unemployment insurance premiums are based for the 6 preceding months before unemployment.
For employees subject to the salary regime prescribed by the State, the maximum benefit level shall not exceed 5 times the base salary. Because the applied base salary is 1.49 million VND/month, the maximum monthly unemployment allowance is 7.45 million VND/month.

For employees who pay unemployment insurance premiums according to the salary regime decided by the employer, the level of enjoyment shall not exceed 5 times the regional minimum salary as prescribed by the Labor Code at the time of termination of the labor contract or contract work.
